Everybody reading this has probably sent a tweet only to regret doing so minutes or hours later. You can, of course, delete tweets, but there is no any 'Edit' option.
Facebook already allows users to edit status updates and replies, and the world hasn’t stopped turning as a result. Yet. Unfortunately, Twitter appears to have been dead set against the idea of allowing people to edit their own thoughts and feelings. Until now.
A Form of Edit Is Definately Needed
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey recently asked users what changes they would like to see Twitter make in 2017. The responses flooded in, and ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous. But the one thing most people want Twitter to do in 2017 is introduce the ability to edit tweets.
Dorsey replied to several of the people requesting an Edit function. He
told one that, “a form of edit is def needed,” and told another that,
“We’re thinking a lot about it”.
