Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which split off from HP in 2015, on Tuesday acquired SimpliVity, a startup that sells data center hardware, for $650 million in cash. Founded in 2009, the startup, valuation of which crossed $1 billion in March 2015, was reportedly considering an IPO. SimpliVity sells data center hardware aggregating components like servers and storage boxes.
